In 1986 "In Your Eyes" was released by Peter Gabriel. People liked it. In 1989 the movie Say Anything debuted featuring "In Your Eyes" during one of the film's romantic points. That scene, with John Cusack holding a radio over his head while it blasted "In Your Eyes" into the open window of his girlfriend's bedroom, became one of the most romantic movie scenes of all times. And "In Your Eyes" became the official prom song in high schools nationwide. I think this song became so popular because most everyone has watched this scene. It brings up emotions of wanting someone whom you can't have and wanting that person with all of your heart and soul and raging teenage hormones. This song is on almost every romantic favorites list. I am not sure if it would even be remembered if it wasn't for Say Anything. Still, it is a beautiful song. See All Romantic Songs
