The Secret Book Review
isn't a normal book club book in the sense that it is not a novel. It is more like a text book full of lessons but much easier to read than your typical textbook. But if you were to include The Secret
into your book club as we did, you will find that this is the kind of book you will want to pass on to people. It is a "feel good" book and can and should be given to people going through hard times of any situation. I found it uplifting, motivating and full of hope.
This book won't be for everyone, especially the over critical and/or the strong religious person. As I said, it is not a novel, but more of a teaching book. The book's premise revolves around the Laws of Attraction. You attract what you put out. So if you put out positive feelings and desires into the universe, like attracts like and you will get back all of the things you put out. In other words....believe and you will receive. There are many facets and parts to this belief which back up the book's theory, but you get the gist.
The book is also available in DVD format and they also now have a website which you can visit. The website includes a forum and some free goodies for its members. They really have a huge following now. I browsed through the forum and I was amazed at how many people were posting. If The Secret
was just a well written marketing gimmick, I don't think they would have this many followers. You know there is something much more to it than this. A sort of universal truth which has been lost throughout the centuries. You have to read the book to see what I mean.
This book is one of the best books out there worthy of gift-giving. You can give this book for Christmas, other holidays, birthdays, bereavement and especially for no reason at all. It is the kind of book that you want to pass around. Once you have read it, give it to someone else. Most likely, that person you want to give it to really needs it at that point in time. Get the book again, read it again, and pass it out again. I think we would all be a happier society in general if we all had a copy of this book. Passing this book around will also pass around that happy vibe to everyone, getting us closer to that Utopian dream society we all hope for. Am I going off on a tangent? Ah well...I was day dreaming with my fingers on the keyboard again.
This is the kind of book that will stay with you for a while. But I think it becomes necessary to keep reading this book if you believe what it has to say. If you want to use the teachings contained in The Secret
as a new way of life for yourself, you should keep a copy of the book handy so that you can read it when you need a refresher. Living the lifestyle dictated in the book will require constant practice and dedication.
This book will change the way you look and feel about life. As a word of caution, the book might upset you if you are a strong religious person as it may go against your religious beliefs. But if you are more spiritual than religious, this book is for you.
