Celebrating with friends is a wonderful way to ring in the new year, but if you're out at a party, a moment for a kiss at midnight may be all the time you have to be alone with your special someone. To make your own New Year's romance, pre pare a second post-party celebration. Leave a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator and party hats and streamers near the television before you go out. Then, when you come home, break out the champagne, put on the party hats, and celebrate all over again. If you live in the Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zone, you can even catch the beginning of the new year on television- in California. Many stations carry coverage of New Year's in California 1:00, 2:00, or 3:00 A.M. (depending on where you live). If you live on the West Coast, or if you can't find coverage of the California celebrations on television, you can always record the local New Year's festivities from your tv while you are out enjoying them elsewhere. When you get home, cuddle up for a private celebration!
