Sample Idea : Creating Memories with Your Sense of Taste
Did you know that memories created through your sense of taste, smell, and sound last longer and are triggered more easily than those created through your sense of sight? Because of our ability to remember vividly through taste and smell, food can be used to create some rather enticing memories. On a dreary, nothing-to-make-it-special weekend after noon, go to the market and look for four or five exotic fruits (preferably ones that neither of you have tasted). Taste test these fruits in one of the following ways:
- Use the fruit in sensual play. For instance, cut a mango into slices. Begin biting on one end of a slice, while your lover nibbles on the other end. Meet in the middle for a fruitful kiss.
- Take the fruit with you on a stroll through the park. During your walk, take turns sampling it.
- After blindfolding your lover, take a bite of one of the pieces of fruit. With the fruit in your mouth, kiss your blindfolded partner and see if he or she can guess the fruit. Has your mouth ever tasted so sweet? Make this a guessing game that you continue playing with many different fruits.
