Sample Idea : Romantic Trivia Game
Together with your spouse, make up a romantic trivia game in honor of your anniversary. On index cards, each of you privately write down as many trivia questions about yourselves and your relationship as you can think of. When both of you have a substantial number of questions, begin the game. Take turns asking each other questions. (The idea here is to have fun, so don't get upset if your spouse doesn't know some of the answers to your questions.) It is up to the two of you to make the rules. For example, you might decide to offer points for correct answers. The spouse with the most points at the end of the game (or round) wins a prize-perhaps a sensuous back massage, a coupon for breakfast in bed, or full rights to the TV remote control for a day. No matter what the rules or the prizes, you are bound to enjoy this game together. Here are some suggested trivia questions:
- Where did we go on our first date?
- What was the first movie we saw together?
- In which restaurant did we first have dinner together?
- What was my phone number when we first started dating?
- What car was I driving when we met?
- What happened when you met my parents for the first time?
- What was my address when we first met?
- Where did we first kiss?
- Where did we first make love?
- What is my favorite movie, color, book, food, animal, TV show, song, candy, or flower?
- Who is my favorite actor, athlete, hero, comedian, teacher, or singer?
- Where was my favorite vacation spot, restaurant, city, country, or campsite?
- What was the first gift I ever gave you?
- What was the first gift you ever gave me?
- What were you wearing the first time we met?
- What was I wearing the first time we met?
- What was the song we first danced to? Where were we?
- What is "our" special song? (If your spouse answers this question correctly, have the song ready to play, and ask for a dance.)
- What was your favorite perfume/cologne when we first started dating?
Also include questions specific to your jobs, personal preferences, friends, and experiences. You can even raise the stakes by calling for the removal of an item of clothing for each wrong answer.
